The Author: Jayne Steel is a full-time lecturer in English and Creative Writing at Lancaster University, UK. Her specialist areas include the 'Troubles' and contemporary fiction, modern literary theory and film theory. In addition to publishing in this field, she has presented numerous conference papers both nationally and internationally. She is also an award-winning screen writer.
