EVERY YEAR, thousands of eager young professionals-armed to the teeth with advanced degrees from the best institutions and inculcated with an idealized philosophy of business-enter the arena of Corporate America believing that the keys to their success lay solely in performance, impact, and visibility. Then reality quickly disillusions them. No one told them the rules of the Game they're playing. Demystifying Corporate America is an energizing and straightforward look at the tacit reality of the corporate Game. Drawing on thirty years of global leadership experience at several of the world's leading corporations, Curtiss Jacobs reveals the challenges and stumbling blocks you will encounter as you try to navigate the corporate landscape. His more contrarian view of the corporate arena shows you the workarounds and a viable path forward- one that preserves your decency and your humanity-on the pursuit of a fulfilling career, and life, in Corporate America.
