The descriptive study was commenced on people from five dengue prevalent areas of Nepal who attended Medical outpatient department of Chitwan Medical College and Teaching Hospital. An outbreak of dengue fever (DF) was recorded in Chitwan district, with prevalence of 67.7% out of a total 739 cases from Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Tanahu, Makwanpur and Rupandehi. Two hundred and four samples were collected using self constructed tool to measure the knowledge, attitude and practice of dengue fever. Majority had poor level of knowledge and majority had positive attitude towards DF and mixed response found for practice of DF prevention. Therefore there should be dengue awareness program for the prevalent areas .
