The descriptive study was commenced on people from five dengue prevalent areas of Nepal who attended Medical outpatient department of Chitwan Medical College and Teaching Hospital. An outbreak of dengue fever (DF) was recorded in Chitwan district, with prevalence of 67.7% out of a total 739 cases from Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Tanahu, Makwanpur and Rupandehi.
