Adolescence is a period of life characterized by physiological, cognitive, emotional and social transformations. Adolescent psychopathology aims to study or identify the different changes and the different organic, psychosomatic, mental pathologies, etc. that may occur during adolescence.The objectives of this study are the following: To detect the existence of depression in adolescents; To describe the manifestations, the signs of these depressive episodes; To relate these manifestations to certain causes that the subjects themselves identify; To identify the strategies used by the adolescents to overcome their depression.To achieve our objectives and verify our hypotheses, this study focused on 79 adolescents in and out of school in the commune of Makiso in the city of Kisangani. For data collection, we used the clinical interview and the Beck Depression Scale.
