Elderly veterans are prone to suffer depressive symptoms from their unforgettable experiences. Social support is recognized as a stress buffer. This book describes the sources of social support and identify factors associated with depression among elderly military veterans in Vietnam. The finding of this book showed that family was an important source of support among elderly veterans. Support from family had significant association with depression status, while there was no significant association between friend support or significant other support and depression status among them. Depression status among elderly veterans was associated with wound in war history, functional disability, and social support.
