Leider ähneln sich die Vornahmen einzelner Figuren (Anna/Angela), so dass der Kopf immer in Bewegung ist, zu überlegen, welche ist welche. Das ist etwas schade, weil sie sich viel Mühe gegeben hat, zwei Handlungen nebenbei aufzubauen, mehrere Schicksale von allen Seiten beleuchtet und die zwei Zeitebenen eine sehr große Rolle spielen. Wer Petra Hammesfahr inzwischen durch andere Bücher mag, weiß dass sie die Figuren genau analysiert und verschiedene Wege durchlaufen lässt, um geschickter Weise das Ende offen für den Leser zu lassen. Die Idee ist nicht schlecht, die Umsetzung auch nicht. Ich würde aber im Vorfeld von ihr "Die Mutter" empfehlen, auch "Der gläserne Himmel", um ihr folgen zu können. Jetzt dürfen aber wieder einige Monate vergehen, bevor ich von ihr mal wieder ein Buch lese. Man ist immer am Denken und nachdenken, wenn man ein Buch von ihr liest und das kann mitunter auch sehr anstrengend sein.
