His publications include Antiquarianism in the Augustan Age: Thomas Hearne 1678-1735 , Oxford 2000, and 'Drink from this fountain'. Für alle Gustav-Meyrink-Interessierte sind zwei neue Studien zu Leben und Werk des berühmten Verfassers des Romans "Der Golem" von großem Gewinn, verspricht Roland Reuß. Kurz, aber durch und durch angetan wendet sich der Rezensent der Studie Theodor Harmsens zu, die er besonders für ihre beeindruckende Erschließung an Dokumenten preist. Insbesondere die hier erstmals edierten Briefe, die Harmsen vorzüglich kommentiert, wie der Rezensent lobt, machen den Band in seine Augen so wertvoll. Damit, nicht zuletzt im Gespann mit Hartmut Binders Meyrink-Biografie bekomme die Meyrink-Forschung eine solide "Basis", so Reuß sehr zufrieden.
