Produktbeschreibung
Ian Halloway's enlightened and thought provoking new novel takes you on a historical ride through an alternative interpretation of various religious texts so that you will come away with a different understanding of the world in which you exist. Astarte, born from misery in a miserable world, seeks to tear down a framework that has imprisoned humanity. Max, born into an ordinary world and a midwestern existence, must overcome a sudden tragedy and face his true destiny. They both will be compelled to use their cunning, guile, and skill to battle an enemy neither expected. Descendent, the first book of Ian Halloway's daring new series, paints a different reality from biblical and religious stories that have been woven into the framework of our society. The imaginative universe he creates is unlike anything that has come before it, challenging modern religion and exposing its falsehoods in a thought provoking manner.

Autorenporträt
Ian Halloway spent the last two decades building a successful career as a criminal defense attorney defending some of society's worst. From those experiences came the opportunity to forge a new path as a writer of dark mythology. He is an enthusiast of thanatology, multicultural religious diversity, and herbology. He resides in the Ozark Mountains where he grows apples and makes cider, and between us, when no one is looking, not a damn thing.
