Autorenporträt

Dermod Dwyer is a prominent figure in Ireland's hospitality and tourism industry. He began his career in 1968 and has held significant roles, including Executive Chairman of The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) from 1997 to 2021. Dwyer was instrumental in the CCD's development, overseeing its design, construction, and successful operation. He serves as Chairman of Powerscourt Estate and Gardens and also served as Chairman of Setanta Sports Broadcasting Ireland. Additionally, he co-founded the Caroline Foundation for Cancer Research with his wife Helen, and has been involved with various educational and cultural institutions in Ireland.
