Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing-Free Space Optical (DWDM-FSO) Communication is a communication system that uses optics to create communication links. In DWDMFSO, multiple information signals modulate multiple optical carriers, which are then multiplexed and sent through a single laser beam across space to the receiver. Different weather conditions have different attenuations, which causes signal degradation based on scattering, visibility, etc. In this work, we create a free space optical transmitter and receiver link by using the DWDM with MIMO that can circumvent the attenuation inherent in adverse weather conditions. The aim of using this method of design is to show the effect of MIMO technology in increasing the efficiency of the FSO system. A comparison among the results of MIMO and SISO design techniques is illustrated to show the benefits of using MIMO instead of the SISO system.
