A fuzzy control system is a control system based on fuzzy logic mathematical system that analyzes analog input values in terms of logical variables that take on continuous values between 0 and 1. A proportional-integral-derivative controller (PID controller or three term controller) is a control loop feedback mechanism widely used in industrial control systems and a variety of other applications requiring continuously modulated control. As a nonlinear controller can control a nonlinear process more efficiently, fuzzy controller can provide better performance in terms of rise time and smaller overshoot. The proposed controller is evaluated using some simulations. The simulation results show that both the transitory performance and the steady state performance are better than the performance of conventional PID controller.
