Design is modified and reworked to meet the standardization of the handbooks been used. FEA has now emerged as an alternative to the traditional analysis techniques. It is widely used now days for analyzing behavior of mechanical components under loading conditions in modern engineering practice. Finite element analysis is a complete idealization of the entire problem including the preparation of solid modeling, Discretization of the structure into finite elements, defining physical and material properties, loads and boundary conditions. The modeling of this manual design is performed using the modeling software Solid works. The modeling is then followed by the static analysis using an analysis software Pro-mechanica. Each results obtained are verified then after by comparing than with existing gear box.
