This book helps in familiarizing the professional approach of designing the globe valve conforming to BS, ASME standards. The dimensions of components in the globe valve are either standards or arrived during assembly. They are assembled and detail drawing is produced, including machining standards, material finish, tolerances, taking into consideration the materials and the machining processes. The 2D drawing is done using AutoCAD and Solid model is generated from the 2D drawings using Solid Works. The 3D solid model is used to do the Flow Path analysis and Strength Analysis which were successfully done and the results are acquired. The analysis showed that the design is able to withstand the over load and the generated profiles does not have any drastic reduction in cross-sectional area.
