As it is written in Ivory Coast, French tends to stand out from standard French. Thus, for the nominal determination, there are difficulties of use and operation. Therefore, we hypothesize that the Ivorian languages influence the nominal determination in French. To verify our hypothesis, we have carried out a contrastive analysis between the determinant syntagm in French and the determinant syntagm in four main Ivorian languages (Baoulé, Bété, Dioula, Tyebara) from the Kwa, Kru, Mande and Gur families respectively. In addition, we analysed a corpus of newspapers published in Côte d'Ivoire. This allowed us to define six types of syntactic structures, through which it is possible to understand the functioning of determinants in Ivory Coast French. Based on these types, we made didactic proposals for the improvement of the teaching/learning of French and for an effective introduction of Ivorian languages within the school institution. This is due to the need to use these languages as a medium of instruction.
