Within the Aviation industry, the establishment of Quality management systems seems quite challenging. These challenges include but not limited to, the inadequate availability of competent and qualified technical personnel, ineffective and inadequate civil aviation regulatory oversight, employees empowerment and involvement in Quality Management Systems implementation and the high cost of the initial stages of establishing an efficient and effective quality management system and the maintenance of the same. The study has laid out the background of the study, endeavoring to answer some of the questions therein.
