The overall objective of the study is to investigate determinants of the maize market participation decisions of smallholder farmers in the maize market. The specific objectives of the study were: to investigate the factors that influence maize market participation decisions, to assess factors that determine the extent of participation, and to identify the constraints faced by farmers in maize marketing in the study area. A multistage sampling procedure was employed to contact 360 households. Semi-structured questionnaires were used to collect data from smallholder maize-producing farmers through face to face interviews. The data were analyzed using descriptive, inferential statistics and Heckman's two-stage selection model. STATA version 14 statistical package was used to process the data.

I am Gezahegn Gechere Moliso from Ethiopia. I was born in January, 01 1992 from father Gechere Moliso and from mother Badhese Balgo in Southren Nations, Nationalities and People's Regional state of Ethiopia in Wolaita Zone, Damot Pulassa district in Gudicho village. I studied my bachelor of degree in Agribusiness Management in Haramaya University, Ethiopia onJuly, 06/2013 and I awarded my Masters degree in Agricultural Economics on January, 12/2021 from Wolaita Sodo university, Ethiopia. Now a day I am a lecturer in Wolaita Sodo Agricultural college and I have 9 years working experience. I am energetic and initiative you person who can do every thing to improve my whole life. Additionally, I am equipped and capable person my expert to discharge any activities. I do not think that things are difficult and I try to to every things and I always believe that every thing is possible to implement if I try and invest required resource effectively and efficiently.
