Despite the fact that maternal place of delivery care utilization is essential for further improvement of maternal and child health, little is known about the current magnitude of use and factors influencing the use of these services in Ethiopia. Place of delivery care services could save severe complications and death among women during delivery. The objective of this study was to identify and study the effect of socio demographic factors that are likely to affect place of delivery care utilization in Ethiopia. It was found that region, place of residence, mother's educational level, availability of television in the household, frequency of watching television, number of antenatal visits during pregnancy, and husband's educational level were significantly associated with place of delivery care.
