Produktbeschreibung
This book, Determination and utilization of residual gravity anomalies, is an attempt at solving the inverse problem in the gravity method of geophysical exploration. That is, it attempts to determine the occurrence, limiting depth, location and approximate quantity of underground mineral deposits in a given area. It involves the development of functional models for direct and indirect analytical methods of gravity method of geophysical exploration. This includes the application of least squares collocation technique in solving the functional models for the determination of optimum residual gravity anomalies of gravity stations in a given area. The optimum residual gravity anomalies obtained are used to determine the location of center of mass, limiting depth and approximate quantity of the underground mineral deposit. The book's conclusion leads to easier, cheaper and less risky geophysical exploration.
