There has been a continual search to develop sensitive analytical methods for detecting and determining endocrine disrupting compounds(EDCs) such as phthalate esters (PAEs), alkyl phenol ethoxylates(APEs) and organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in environmental samples since they occur at very low concentration levels. La Dra. Linda L. Sibali estudió la licenciatura, el bachillerato (con honores) y la maestría en química en la Universidad de Fort Hare. Obtuvo un Doctorado en Tecnología en la Universidad Tecnológica de Tshwane (TUT) en Gestión Ambiental, con especialización en Química Ambiental/Analítica. Actualmente, trabaja como científico en la Junta de Aguas Rand en Sudáfrica.
