Bayuh was graduated with BSc in Plant Sciences from the then Alemaya University (now Haramaya University). Soon after graduation, he was employed by Amhara Regional Agricultural Research Institute: Adet Agricultural Research Center in crop research program and still working there. He completed his MSc in IPM from Haramaya University.
