Manganese is an essential element for life, being involved in numerous processes indispensable for cell metabolism. However, there are manganese compounds that have harmful effects on man and the environment, and it is currently considered an emerging pollutant. Wine has been designated Argentina's National Drink and has a complex matrix of organic and inorganic compounds that give it its unique organoleptic properties. That is why monitoring manganese in wine is so important for health. For these reasons, the aim of the present work was to develop a new analytical methodology of high sensitivity by combining fluorescence-functionalized silver nanoparticles in solid phase for the determination of Mn(II) in different wine samples.
