Rain attenuation is the major cause of loss of microwave signals in the microwave region in Nigeria. The extent of such signals is properly analysed in this work taking Akure, Ondo state as a case study. Ondo state is located in South Western Nigeria. Rain attenuation is the major cause of loss of microwave signals in the microwave region in Nigeria. The extent of such signals is properly analysed in this work taking Akure, Ondo state as a case study. Ondo state is located in South Western Nigeria. Rain in this region is heavy within the months o June to October. This work was carried out from July 4 till september 30 2010. The Micro rain radar situated at the Federal University of Technology. Akure was used to collect the rain rate. I chose this instrument because it gives great resolution and accuracy. this ojwork was analysed at the Line of Sight means and the earth space space path. detailed conclusions were realized concerning the extent thesee signals would be attenuated. The earth space path would be more affected than the line of sight path. The vertically polarised tilt angle would be more affected than the horizontal and circular.
