The author, Geizon Rabelo de Santana, shows how he determined heavy rainfall equations from precipitation data. In this research he determines the equations for the state of Sergipe, Brazil. The main aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the intensity, duration and frequency of heavy rainfall in the form of equations. Almost all the municipalities in Sergipe where there had been no previous studies were studied and analyzed. To this end, data from 69 rainfall stations throughout the state were used, covering the period from 1913 to 2007. Annual and partial series of…mehr

Annual and partial series of maximum rainfall values were used and the distribution of data for the different seasons was carried out using the methodology of disaggregating one-day rainfall to shorter durations.
