*** NAMED TO KIRKUS REVIEWS BEST BOOKS OF 2018 *** Detonation is an epic dystopian tale about the struggle to preserve humanity from the threat of an emerging superintelligence. We witness the fall of civilization, and we watch as it is about to fall again. The novel explores the frailties of our interconnected society and the differences we as individuals can make, illuminating one of the most important questions of our time; will we be prudent with the most powerful technology we have ever created, or will we recklessly throw away any hope for our children.
