The food insecurity assessment tool has been developed to explain food insecurity situation in Indonesia. Four indicators that represent the four dimensions of food insecurity are selected to describe chronic food insecurity in each province. The food insecurity assessment tool has data for 32 Indonesian provinces. By using the food insecurity assessment tool can help people to better understand the complexity of food insecurity. The analysis of four dimensions of food insecurity would provide the necessary understanding of its root causes and hence would help in making better plan and appropriate programmes. The food insecurity assessment tool is also useful to compare one province with another one, or the average food insecurity situation for Indonesia as a whole.
