Joe D. Batten is Chairman and CEO of the consulting firm of Batten, Batten, Hudson & Swab, Inc., based in Des Moines, Iowa. His clients have included McDonalds, Xerox, Marriot, and IBM. His previous book, 'Tough-Minded Management,' has been translated into twenty-one languages. H. Ross Perot called it the greatest management book in the world. A noted lecturer, Batten was one of the first included into the Speakers Hall of Fame.
