Gender equality alongside women empowerment assures success of all developmental goals. The same is further necessitated with all post-2015 agenda. Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) stand most important in the arena as the two actually need to go hand in hand responding to the climatic disaster risks. This comprehensive study strives at setting the stage developing women's capacities and skills as leaders and change agents in the field of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction. On the whole, this is a desk research where secondary sources of information and data collection were employed. Hence, making use of the available literature (including grey literature), this study is compiled. The tool of content analysis further facilitated refining the presentation of findings that lead to the conclusions and recommendations.The main findings and conclusions reached as a result of this desk research depict the main lacking in the widespreadawareness throughout the diversified strata of the society on the significance of the role that women can play in climate change adaptation.
