This research is an empirical study for securing digital-trade semantic web services from malicious insider threats. A pivotal inkling of this study is to have a mechanism that can protect digital-trade semantic Web services from malicious attacks that can be posted on digital-trade semantic Web services. A framework has been proposed to enhance the security of digital-trade semantic Web services. The proposed framework aims to protect the digital-trade semantic Web services from malevolent threats such as Denial-of-Service (DoS) and Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attack. The framework is implemented on a digital-trade platform and statistically evaluated to measure the performance of the proposed framework. The thesis consists of a collection of six papers which are written during this study. These research papers represent the conjoint result of both theoretical and empirical research.
