In this dissertation, one of major objective is to investigate and asses the effect of the conventional seismic isolation systems, and to determine the main effective parameters on the isolators performance. The dissertation presented a complete design aids to take the environmental bad side effects on the mechanical properties of the isolators, and it presented the numerical analysis of isolators with the different bounding of isolators. This evaluation will be the way to develop a new system. The new system is called by [DISTM], Double Isolation Surfaces with Tuned Mass. In this disertation the experimental part focuses on the tuned mass damper component using shacking table. An experimental study of the tuned mass damper [TMD] was conducted to evaluate and assess its capability of providing a specific amount of damping that would serve the whole system and consequently the overall structure. The study succed to put the mathematical model of the new system DISTM taking the effect of the tuned mass into consideration. The disertation presented acomplete numerical simulation analysis for the new system DISTMs taken the flexibility of the supporting soil structure interaction.
