The following research stresses the new concepts of leadership and required leaders' skills in the age of rapid and unpredictable changes. The primordial classifications of these skills are not appropriate anymore due to the VUCA business environment, therefore, the ones proposed as the result of this research can be described as a state-of-the-art. Apart from that, the purpose of the thesis is to give certain recommendations to the HR department when it comes to the development of these skills. The only competitive approach in an unpredictable business circumstances is learning and development, since the economy we thrive and strive in is knowledge based economy. However, the only real danger in such economy is information and work overload. This is the point where learning is categorical imperative. Learning how to learn quickly and efficiently and reflecting on the previous experience while successfully answering to everyday tasks is the way not only these duties will eventually become easier to handle but also a way to lead a business into success.
