This text discusses a soft excitation technique, one of NMR signal excitation methods and applications of this method to 1D or 3D images of selected organic solid materials to one liquid crystal. It also discusses the possibility of dynamic study of liquid crystals with soft excitation by presenting self-diffusion study of two selected liquid crystals. Since this text is the author s Ph.D dissertation, it is aimed at people who understand basic spin dynamics and NMR and NMR imaging and want to know more about alternative ways of signal excitation methods in solid state NMR/MRI and their…mehr

This text discusses a soft excitation technique, one
of NMR signal excitation methods and applications of
this method to 1D or 3D images of selected organic
solid materials to one liquid crystal. It also
discusses the possibility of dynamic study of liquid
crystals with soft excitation by presenting
self-diffusion study of two selected liquid crystals.
Since this text is the author s Ph.D dissertation, it
is aimed at people who understand basic spin dynamics
and NMR and NMR imaging and want to know more about
alternative ways of signal excitation methods in
solid state NMR/MRI and their applications. It
contains general understanding of existing solid
state NMR methods and MRI techniques and what can be
done in non-medical MRI and demonstrates NMR
micro-imaging capability with selected flower stems.
