The glass is received at a section in the fore heart called feeder, the molten glass now is pushed through an orifice by the aid of a reciprocating refractory plunger to the forming machine. The basic function of the feeder is to deliver an acceptable gob shape and weight to the forming machine. The feeder consists of the spout bowl where the glass is contained, the Orifice Ring, Refractory plunger which pushes out the glass, shear mechanism that cuts the glass into shape at various weights depending on the product to be produced, the Revolving tube mechanism.
