All around the world, the usage of medicinal herbs has come to dominate the health care system. Two-thirds of the world's population, or many countries, rely on herbal medicine as their primary form of healthcare. This is due to the fact that they are more socially acceptable, better suited to the human body, adaptable, and have less negative side effects. Polyherbal composition has been used for medical and therapeutic purposes all over the world. The active ingredients taken from a single plant are insufficient to provide a pharmacological action. Instead of isolated components, whole plants or combinations of plants are employed in traditional medicine. Polyherbalism gives several benefits due to synergism that are not available in single herbal compositions. However, when developing and putting these techniques into practise, conscious efforts must be taken to correctly identify, recognise, and arrange medicinal plants. This book explains the preparation of ethanolic extract of polyherbal formulation of Cissus quadrangularis and Cynodon dactylon and evaluation of its phytochemical and GC-MS analysis, in vitro Antioxidant and antidiabetic activity.
