Wars and atrocities, hatred, betrayal, lies and lawlessness, severe climactic disturbances, pain, tribulation, pandemics, and death-these will be with us until the end of time (see Matthew 24:5-14). Once we acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ and rely on Him for salvation, He is present in our lives, His Spirit abides within us. We are beloved sheep within His fold. God, Himself, cares for us, body and soul. Since the love of the Good Shepherd for His sheep is so deep, we can trust Him to provide all we need to handle life's trials which will surely come our way. Hopefully, by reading the entries and completing the Bible study guides in this volume, your confidence in the Almighty will grow, you will learn to better hear the voice of your Good Shepherd, and you will find your feet becoming firmly planted upon the path He has laid before you-even when His pathway travels through life's trials.
