For the past eighteen years, Lee has worked as a volunteer at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, Texas helping families and friends of patients in the surgery waiting room. During the past few years, he has had a strong desire to write a book featuring what it was like to live in Judah and Galilee during the life of Jesus. It was published under the title of "Alph" in 2014 after two years of research to keep the fictional storyline as true to life as possible. He has also written a contemporary Christian novel titled "Pine Cone County," about a fictitious character named John Denza, a loveable Christian man, who lives in the fictitious East Texas county of Pine Cone.
