After a school assignment challenges Dex to be whatever he wants, Dex decides he wants to be the WORLD’S BEST GREATEST EVER…at something. Filled with clever humor and touching insight, this chapter book graphic novel series follows Dex’s misadventures as his attempts at the “coolest jobs” go awry. Dex Dingo isn’t the BEST at anything. He’s not the SMARTEST, the FUNNIEST, the STRONGEST, or the NICEST. But he wants to be the best at SOMETHING! So when his teacher gives him an assignment about what he wants to be when he grows up, Dex decides that he’s going to be the best at one of the “best jobs ever,” starting with becoming the WORLD’S BEST GREATEST EVER INVENTOR. While Dex is able to create an amazing team of nanobots, things quickly go awry when the bots start to rapidly multiply and form a gray goo that takes over Texas. With the help of a rogue nanobot named No-no and some sage advice from his sister, Dina, Dex is able to turn the tide of nanobots and save his best friend, Buckley Bat. Maybe Dex wasn’t the World’s Best Greatest Ever Inventor, but next time he could be the World’s Best Greatest Ever…archaeologist!
