Adolescents have become quite vulnerable to various non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes mellitus and hypertension, especially due to the tremendous changes in their lifestyle over the last few decades. Global and national estimates especially for the prevalence of diabetes and hypertension in the adolescent age group are unavailable till date. Hence, the present study was undertaken with the following objectives: to study the prevalence of diabetes and hypertension among adolescents in urban areas of Delhi, to study the associated risk factors, and to study the knowledge, attitude and practice of adolescents regarding diabetes and hypertension.
