Shelagh Mulvaney, PhD, is an Associate Professor and pediatric psychologist at Vanderbilt University. Her research focuses on integrating behavioral science into the design and evaluation of technology-mediated self-management support systems for adolescents and young adults with diabetes. Central to her research are technologies and processes that engage patients in their daily health behaviors including mobile technologies, social learning mechanisms, and self-care problem solving. A primary focus of her work is on momentary assessment of affect, cognition, and behavior for personalized feedback and health communications.
