Kidney Function assessment is important in diabetic patients and early detection of diabetic nephropathy in preclinical stage of disease will contribute to decreasing morbidity and mortality rates. This study focused on the determination of risk factors that may lead to diabetic nephropathy in type-2 DM patients in Khartoum state. There was insignificant difference in age, duration of DM, BMI, HDL, and glycemic control between nephropathy and non-nephropathy.
