Autorenporträt
Der Autor: Frantisek Václav Mares wurde 1922 in der Nähe von Prag geboren. Er promovierte 1950 an der Prager Karlsuniversität in Slavischer Philologie und wurde 1968 als Professor ans Institut für Slawistik der Universität Wien berufen. Als Emeritus ist er 1994 verstorben. Er hat als Sprachwissenschaftler und Philologe internationale Anerkennung gefunden.
