This study was conducted in a secondary center (that is without the facility for coronary angiography). If u go through it, it will prove to be quite useful in predicting the artery involved in inferior wall myocardial infarction just on ECG,that is the right coronary artery or the left circumflex artery as the complications associated with both the arteries are quite different. This proves very useful, especially in our country where at times people are unable to afford the cost of coronary angiography. For example: if we can read through the ECG that the right coronary artery(RCA) is involved, we can keep a watch out for the Heart Blocks which are most common in inferior wall Myocardial infarction as RCA supplies the SA node as well. So i had recommend all the postgraduates, interns and even the undergraduates should go through this book. Especially in these times, where the patient gets directly transferred for coronary angigraphy, doctors tend to ignore the basics of ECG whichif carefully understood can give us the correct idea and save the patient from any intervention.
