The aim of this study was to identify a strategic planning model for defining extension activities on the campus of a Public Education Institution (PEI), carrying out a diagnosis of the extension activities carried out on the campus of a PEI, defining the duties of extension in the school context through benchmarking, and identifying the possibilities for extension activities that can be developed. The methodology used was bibliographical and documentary research into the Extension Policies and the guiding and regulatory documents of the IPEs; identification of the duties of the Extension Coordinators on the Campuses, and identification of the extension actions on an IPE Campus since the start of its activities.
