The present study was carried out to study the feasibility and diagnostic accuracy of colour coded digital radio-graphs in terms of presence and size of lesion and to compare the diagnostic accuracy of colour coded digital images with direct digital images and conventional radio-graphs for periapical lesions. Digital Radiography is advantageous over conventional radiography as it eliminates darkrooms and processors, greatly decreases the time between exposure and interpretation of image. These factors make digital radiography preferable as compared to conventional, but Conventional Radiography outperformed digital radiography for diagnosing smaller periapical lesions.
