Life is a journey and in this journey, the word dialogue has aroused in me a lot of curiosity. This curiosity has made me delve deeper into myself while at the same time making me aware of the importance to dialogue with the other. As I journeyed in my philosophical venture, I decided to do my dissertation on the topic Dialogue as a Way of Life: A Panikkarian Perspective. It is true that every journey involves a certain amount of risk and at times seems to be proceeding along an uncharted and untrodden course. It involves invariably both the dimensions of faith and reason (theology and philosophy). Living in a country like India is not an easy task because we live with people of diverse creed, faiths, customs, cultures, backgrounds, religions and languages. The task left to each one of us is to dialogue which becomes a challenge. Dialogue thus becomes an imperative in one s life and therefore I have explored philosophically this term dialogue as intended by Panikkar in this book.
