This is the story of a girl whose family is unique in her town. Her friends' families are traditional, with two parents and children who look like them. Diana feels like she doesn't fit in, that she is missing out. Though she sadly no longer believes in magic, the events of this Christmas Eve are unexpected, astonishing, and uplifting. Diana experiences an adventure that changes her outlook and brings her joy. This story is based on a real girl who successfully navigates her way through those challenging childhood disappointments, and in the process learns more about herself and the world.
