This book is partly a biography and partly a study of the Victorian legal world based on the many descriptive extracts from the novels. Autorenporträt
Paul Howcroft studied law at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge. He is an English solicitor advocate who specialised in civil litigation and practiced in central London throughout his career, a partner in firms in the City of London and Holborn. He retired in 2016 and now lives in Devon.
