Autorenporträt
I would like to dedicate this book to my deceased parents, Fred Tubbs and Thelma Jane Faulkner Osborne Tubbs, who encouraged me to get an education. I love them and thank them for their wisdom and patience in encouraging me to educate my mind in the sciences and knowledge of erudite society. But I am also grateful to them for patiently sharing with me the wisdom of their life experiences concerning people, events, and etiquette, that I wisely used as a young man to keep myself free from the misery and destruction in the world. And in the following paragraphs, these are a few of the reasons why I am dedicating this book to them. First of all, when I was in junior high school, I licked my tongue at the dean who told me I could not come back to school until I brought my Mother with me. So I did not tell her that same day of the tongue incident with the dean, but I waited until the morning of the next day to tell her that she had to come with me to school to speak with the dean or I could not return to school that day. Now after she spoke to the dean, and we returned home, she then scolded me about the importance of having an education in this world. So I promised her then and there that I would graduate from high school, even though she died in 1970 four and a half years before I graduated from high school. Secondly, as a freshman in college during mid semester the educational institution sent my Father a letter saying I was in danger of failing my courses, so he wrote me a heartening letter in 1974 that said it was very important that I graduate from college to bring honor to the family name. Thus I wrote him back, and I promised him that I would graduate from college to honor the family name, so I now honor my Father for having faith in me and my endeavors. But most of all, I want to thank my Father for walking up to me one day and handing me the Holy Bible to read, and then saying to me at the same time when I was sixteen years old, Son you have a soul that needs to be saved. So I then obeyed his voice and read the Holy Bible to learn about our Lord Jesus Christ who saves the souls of believers, for which I am eternally grateful to him. Therefore, I thank God the Creator for my natural Father who turned me on to the wisdom and truth of God. Finally, I honor the least men in the kingdom of God whom God and Christ have made my worthy brethren. And may God bless them and you all. Amen.
