The didactic evaluation of spelling in primary and post-primary schools is of vital importance, as pupils experience many difficulties in spelling words during assessments. As French is the official language of oral and written communication, students need to master it better to facilitate learning. The research addresses theoretical aspects, a problematic, a conceptual framework and a literature review. The methodology is followed by research questions, hypotheses and objectives. The research aims to identify the difficulties encountered by players in dictation evaluation, analyze them and find remedial solutions. It lists suggestions for improving pupils' spelling skills in dictation.
