The research arises from the need to achieve a competent development in correspondence with the latest changes in sport. The inadequacies are shown as a result of the theoretical and practical diagnosis, a wide analysis of the theoretical and methodological foundations related to the subject is carried out. As a response to these needs, a didactic model is elaborated for the development of the professional competence management of tactical preparation in Volleyball coaches, which considers a set of structural and functional elements, as a contribution to the theory, a new definition of professional competence management of tactical preparation is proposed, the competence profile for the 11-12 years old category, and two premises that make explicit the internal dynamics of each subsystem of the model. As a practical implementation, a strategy of the same nature with actions for professional improvement in a systemic, progressive, gradual and integral way. It was demonstrated by means of the expert criteria and pre-experiment methods how the proposal reaches adequate indexes of pertinence and feasibility.
