The objective of the research is to analyze the different strategies and didactic resources as tools for the development of the teaching-learning process, identifying the impact they have in the classroom in the area of mathematics. The qualitative research, supported by the techniques of participant observation and semi-structured interview, applied to high school teachers and students in the mathematics class, focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of the didactic resources supported by the didactic strategies. This leads to an analysis of the intervention of another resource in learning, trying to answer the following question: What are the results in the development of mathematical competencies in high school students with the use of didactic resources?
